'It’s an injectable STEROID!' Famed bodybuilder’s take on Ryan Garcia’s doping violation shocks UFC champ Sean O’Malley
Craig Kidwell-USA TODAY Sports

Ryan Garcia shocked the combat sports world with his performance against Devin Haney. Garcia won via majority decision and even dropped Haney thrice. After the victory, Garcia called for fights against Sean O’Malley, Gervonta Davis , and other big names in combat sports. However, his recent doping violations have put an asterisk on his victory and halted his plans.

Days after his victory against Haney, news broke of Garcia’s doping violation. Conor McGregor criticized Garcia for the doping violation, dragging Sean O’Malley‘s name into the mix. Recently, O’Malley appeared on Bradley Martyn‘s Raw Talk, where the bodybuilder shocked him with his take on Garcia’s doping violation.

He [Ryan Garcia] also got popped for, which I wasn't even aware of, but it looked like he was taking Nandrolone as well, which wasn't just Ostarine like whatever else they saw him being tested for, I guess whatever in the A and the B samples. But Nandrolone is like, it's not even a SARM, it's not even oral, it's an injectable steroid! I don't know if you[Sean O'Malley] knew. Bradley Martyn via Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk

O’Malley had in the past tested positive for Ostarine, resulting in a 6-month suspension. However, unlike Nandrolone, the substance can get into the body through tainted supplements. Fortunately for Garcia, the B samples of Garcia tested negative for Nandrolone.

Nevertheless, having Ostarine alone in the system causes suspension and results to be overturned. Nonetheless, O’Malley hopes Garica is innocent as he would likely lose millions he made in the fight against Haney if not.

Sean O’Malley ponders why Ryan Garcia might’ve allegedly used steroids

Doping violations are a big issue in sports, especially in combat sports. Anti-doping agencies and athletic commissions consider it a great offense. When Ryan Garcia’s test results came positive, the boxer vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

Garcia called the results a smear campaign due to his association with Donald Trump and stance against pedophilia and war. UFC champion Sean O’Malley pondered Garcia’s alleged steroid use during his appearance on Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk.

If he [Ryan Garcia] is [Doping], I mean, it just shows how insecure he is. You know, he got put down by Gervonta Davis, maybe he was a little insecure. Maybe he's like, 'I need a little something to help me get over that,' and maybe that. Sean O’Malley via Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk

Nonetheless, O’Malley refused to criticize Garcia before an actual hearing by the athletic commission. Surprisingly, Gervonta Davis supported Garcia, accusing Eddie Hearn of wrongdoing for King Ry’s alleged doping violation.
